In a Jamestown, New York, apartment back in 2012, it all began. Matt Baglia, one of our co-founders, was studying non-conventional marketing avenues for several other business owners while still a recent Fredonia State University graduate. As a result of frustration with the efficacy and reach of email and other social media platforms, text messaging emerged as a potent yet underused form of advertising.
After examining the SMS marketing environment, it became apparent that industry executives at the time were notably complacent. Matt viewed this as a fantastic chance to improve SlickText because of his experience in product management and marketing. We’ve worked very hard to become an industry leader, never compromising on usability, message quality, or customer service after servicing thousands of consumers.
In order to carry out his idea, Matt recruited the aid of co-founders Bobby Angilella and Ryan Kinal. Nine months later, the first version of SlickText was created. Since then, SlickText has expanded to support more than 70,000 users across six nations. Only the beginning lies ahead.
